On this last Wednesday before Christmas, we are featuring wonderful and empowering Brenda Dressler, a Human Sexuality and HIV/AIDs Prevention Educator with a very empowering story. Brenda Dressler, PhD, Human Sexuality and HIV/AIDs Prevention Educator is a visiting professor and consultant at Touro College in NYC. She is the author of seven HIV/AIDs prevention education curricula that are used in schools in forty-eight states.

Dr. Dressler was awarded ten research grants and wrote numerous research articles. She conducted workshops on child sexual abuse prevention at the Hebrew University in Israel and on HIV/AIDS prevention education at Kampala University, primary and secondary schools, and HIV/AIDS Treatment Centers in Uganda.

After retiring from Touro College at age 70, Dr. Dressler began conducting workshops and podcasts for older adults on the benefits of sexual activity and the prevention of sexually transmitted infections (STIs). Dr. Dressler is listed in Who’s Who and received the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement award in 2019 for outstanding contributions to her profession. Her book, Sex Toys: Putting the BOOM back in boomers was published in 2021 and is available on Amazon, Barnes and Nobles, and Good Reads.
