THERE’S A COOKBOOK BY SOPHIE DAHL THAT I’M STRANGELY ATTACHED TO.
I bought it for a few quid, second hand, from a charity shop in England and I always turn to it for inspiration when I’m craving a good food story.
There’s a recipe in that book, called “Musician’s Breakfast”, it’s a piece of homemade bread with parma ham, so completely different than my recipe here BUT it’s what inspired this post in the first place.
Sophie, explains how her other half is a musician. Her homemade bread, a strong cup of tea and Miles Davis on the stereo makes him a happy fellow in the morning.
I am surrounded by musicians 99% of the time. I could relate. Nick is a musician, and even though he chose to do something completely different with his life now, he still leads the musician’s kind of lifestyle.
My entire crew is a bunch of musician metalheads, coming over, hungry, tired from rehearsing or touring the world, or simply hungry, to be realistic.
I AM LUCKY.
They provide the music, they provide the exciting stories. I provide the food.
Everyone is happy.

All you need is a few simple ingredients, ten minutes and Bob Dylan on the stereo...
If they bring out an air guitar, you know it's the real deal...
