Summer Beauty Routine

In this summer heat, my go to is usually quick and easy styles. I’ll be sharing a few of my favorite summer products for that effortless summer look in this summer beauty routine post! I’ve included some affiliate links and product/brand websites where you can find some of these items.

First and foremost, be sure to cleanse your skin. My favorite cleansing product is the PMD Clean Smart Facial Cleansing Device, which I use with my Cetaphil Daily or Gentle Facial Cleansers to clean my face and exfoliate the skin. I occasionally use Bioré Original Deep Cleansing Pore Strips when needed (not for daily use). I would recommend speaking to a dermatologist before using new products.

Then I add my moisturizer, which I put on right before bed and once I get up in the mornings. During the day, I use my Cetaphil Daily Facial Moisturizer with SPF 15. I use this product every day; I add it alone on days I don’t want to put any makeup on or right under my makeup before I get started with my day. It’s pivotal you add sunscreen to your daily beauty routine. Even put sunscreen on when at home to protect your skin. I like this product's added SPF 15 protection, but I also use other sunscreen products for added protection. 

Next up is my Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer. I use this product under my makeup before adding my foundation. On hot summer days, I just add a bit of this for that finished and touched up look. Makes my skin look silky smooth without adding any extra oil.

One of my favorite and most used product is my Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser. This touches up my imperfections and I use it to cover up my dark circles. I take this with me wherever I go for touch ups, especially in the summer months! I then add a bit of intensity and fluff to my eyebrows by filling them in with Glossier’s Boy Brow Eyebrow Ink. Lastly, I put on a bit of mascara to add volume to my eyelashes. 

Here comes the highlight! I go straight for the highlight on summer days to avoid putting too much makeup on my face. I use the NYX Born To Glow Liquid Illuminator. This product offers intense shine and then I add a touch of blush. Last up is my Maybelline Baby Lips Moisturizing Lip Balm. I absolutely have to take this item wherever I go! It hydrates my lips and adds a pop of color too.  

There you have it. All set for that summer look! Quick, natural and simple. If you need a bit of hydration throughout the day, I would recommend the Olay Mist Ultimate Hydration Essence. I usually use the Calming version at night, but there’s also an Energizing mist you can purchase. I use them to hydrate my face on hot days to help keep my skin moisturized and bright.
