Are your shoes vegan? Sounds weird, doesn’t it? That’s what I thought too when I first heard of vegan shoes, but the more I read about it the more I understood why this trend is the best one yet and we should all jump to this train ASAP!
What are Vegan Shoes?
Vegan shoes are free from any animal ingredients such as leather, wool, fur etc. Vegan shoes have no animal derived products used in making them, from the raw material, to glues and dyes used to make the shoes.
Vegan shoes are made from plant-based materials like cotton, synthetic leather, hemp, plant dyes and synthetic glue.
Why should you switch to Vegan Shoes?
Vegan shoes are animal-friendly and environment-friendly, what is better than that! Ofcource, everything we produce makes an impact on the environment, but plant base vegan shoes are more sustainable than any animal derived materials. In 2017 Pulse of Fashion Industry Report it was found that cow leather is the most polluting fabric in fashion, more polluting than toxic material like polyester, nylon, PVC. Not to mention the absurd environmental cost of spending on raising animals for human consumption.
So if you want to help the environment and buy something sustainable, choose vegan!
