Wine Garden

As much as I love a lazy Sunday, sometimes it's more satisfying to get out of the house and partake in an activity I wish I was able to do more often, like wine tasting. I got the opportunity to do so last week, hitting 6 wineries and consuming too many glasses of that sweet, fermented grape juice. If the koi fish on my jacket were alive they'd probably be impressed by how much I drank like a fish that day. The details of that afternoon were a little fuzzy but my vision for that outfit was crystal clear. Lately, I've been nostalgic for all of the gorgeous gardens at Huntington Library in San Marino, CA (aka one of my favorite places ever). For this look, I tried to incorporate elements of some of the gardens at Huntington; Red accents to represent the rose garden, koi fish for the Japanese garden, and a lizard hair clip for the desert garden, just to mention a few. It's a little strange wearing this outfit to a winery instead of the location that inspired the outfit, I know. However, I'm color-coordinating with the wineries' flowers and vineyards pretty well, so I'll cheers myself to that.

Your outfit is gorgeous!!  The dress, for one, is very pretty on you.  The pleats seem to add a bit of elegance to your look, great for going to a wine tasting.  The prints in the jacket are cute, and add a little color to the outfit.  I like it.  The black nylons continue the dress down to the red boots, which I absolutely love in that look.  The boots, the red fish in the jacket, and your lipstick all compliment each other.  I love the trifecta.  The opacity of the nylons really cause the boots to stand out and pop, and I love the heel, it's a great accent.  The hair clip, earrings, and necklace are also great in this look, adds even more elegance for your event.  You look stunning.

I wish my dates would dress this nicely when we go out.
