10 Shoe Trends For Spring!

    SHOP THIS POST

New year, new you shoes! I don't know about you, but I am determined to come out of this quarantine with a fresh new look on life and a fresh new pair of shoes! Or two... Lol. After what feels like season after season of '90s-inspired shoe trends, it's time to make some room in your line-up for a couple of new trends this spring! So if you're late to the game like me, I rounded up 10 of the best new spring shoe trends for 2020!

    LUCITE HEELS

Lucite heels or 'clear sandals' are one of the most surprising spring shoe trends in my opinion! I think just about every designer has their own take on these... I haven't jumped on the clear heel band wagon at this point, but I did order the pair of clear strapped sandals in the picture above! They come in a couple colors, I got the pastel snakeskin! Such a fun print! They are actually on sale right now for 60% OFF along with the pink and white ones pictured above!

    WHITE BOOTIES

Give me all the boots!!! I am a boot FANATIC! And while I can admit, I am a tad concerned about owning white boots... That didn't stop me from totally going off the deep end with this spring shoe trend! These Sam Edelman Western bootieswere one of the first pair that caught my eye when I was browsing online! But this is another spring trend that just about every designer decided to roll with, so there are TONS of great options out there!

    EMBELLISHED

The embellished shoe trend, or as all the magazines like to say "extra adornment", is coming in hot this spring! You are going to see shoes with tassels and chain links and jewels and pearls splashed all over your Instagram and Pinterest feeds! And I will be the first to say I am all about the shoe jewelry! I'm sure y'all know by now but I am a shoe ADDICT! So I actually have a couple of super cute embellished shoes from last year that I am so excited to break out again for spring, like these pearl covered shoes by Stuart Weitzman!

    DISTRESSED SNEAKERS

Everyone who knows me knows that I am a sneaker girl through and through! And I'll be honest, I am rough on my shoes... So I have more than just a couple pairs of shoes that definitely look like they could be from this category! Lol. But obviously this spring shoe trend is referring to PRE-ditressed sneakers. Which contrary to popular belief, DO NOT have to cost you an arm and a leg! There are tons of affordable options out there, like these P448 sneakers that are 60% off right now! I bought a pair of these last fall and they give off the same vibe as my Golden Goose sneakers, and they were less than half the price!

    WEDGES

Wedges have been a spring shoe trend for the past what? 10 years?! Lol. But seriously! They are here, and they are here to STAY! I can't even tell you how many pairs of wedges I have gone through in the past few years, but if you read my blog post about my Spring Fashion Favorites then you know Marc Fisher wedges have my heart and always will! BEST wedges ever, and they come in sooo many styles! The Allison wedges and the Alida wedges are my favorite! And both are under $100! - Marc Fisher also released some super cute platform sandals this spring which I am loving at the moment!

    LOAFERS

Loafers are easily one of my favorite shoe trends of spring! I won't lie, I have been on the loafer bandwagon for quite some time, I must own at least 10 pairs of Tod's (don't tell my husband). But seriously, they are so versatile and I think that is what I love most about them! Heeled loafers are also HUGE right now! I have had my eye on a pair of Jeffery Campbell loafers at Nordstrom for awhile now and I think it is the perfect time to finally add them to my cart!

    MULES

I know I said that the loafers were versatile, but I think that mules definitely come in at #1 for the MOST VERSATILE spring shoe trend! White mules are a closet staple this spring, and shouldn't be overlooked! I just ordered two new pair from Nordstrom this past week that I am SO excited for! I've had my eye on these block heel mules for a couple weeks now and they just went on super sale, so I had to snag them! I can't wait to pair them with some of my favorite spring dresses that I talked about a little bit more in my spring fav's blog post!

    CANVAS ESPADRILLES

I think this is one of my favorite shoe trends of spring just because of the simplicity of it. Espadrilles are a closet staple in every spring and summer wardrobe if you ask me! And lately they have come out with some super fun patterns, like these paisley ones by Sam Edelman!

    PLATFORM SANDALS

I have been LOVING this trend... And I think its mostly because, to me, it feels like a combination of some of my other favorite spring shoe trends! It's like taking an espadrille or a wedge and cross-breeding it with a slide sandal or a mule; and then if you're feeling a little frisky, sprinkling some embellishment on top! SIGN ME UP! I love wearing mine with my favorite pair of boyfriend jeans or mom jeans and a simple t-shirt! But that's just me being basic... A lot of the options below would look super cute paired with a simple maxi or midi dress as well! Found these super cute ones at Target last week for $27!

    FLAT SLIDE SANDALS

This spring shoe trend is definitely a more casual one in my opinion! But super fun at the same time. Dressing up a pair of athletic slides by pairing them with a little black dress is a never-fail option in my book! But even pairing them with a sleek pair of black jeans (these are my favorite) and a graphic tee or a white tee is a great effortless, everyday look! And yes, I do dress exactly like that more than I care to admit! But I'm a mom and anything I can slip on and run out the door in is a win in my book!

    KNOTTED SANDALS

When I think of knotted sandals, my mind immediately goes to Alexandre Birman... If you aren't familiar with his shoes, you should be! They are a bit pricey, but my god are they beautiful and the knot is his signature! I think we have probably all seen different variations of this shoe trend in the past couple of seasons, but the knotted look is still going strong for spring! And to me, they just give off such a super dainty feel, which I love! These are my latest favorites by Alexandre Birman - and they are 40% off right now on ShopBop!
