Growing up, I never invested in bikinis or really owned any, for that matter. I had trouble finding ones that fit my style and many of the ones I saw in stores didn't have longevity.
I decided it was time to really invest in a bikini that makes me feel confident and that also has a long lifespan. These two things are most important to me when it comes to finding items to add to my closet.
Owning a bikini from Marlies Dekkers has been a dream come true. It's so elegant and timeless, something I don't normally see in the swimsuit industry. I felt so sophisticated, feminine, and confident as I spent the day at the seaside my first time wearing it.
The bikini top is very comfortable and supportive. The most unique part about it is that it has two kinds of straps that design-wise, add a lot of interest. I'm wearing a size 75B.
The bikini bottom is just ADORABLE. I'm so into high-waisted bottoms (of any kind) because of how flattering they are on every body type. The design of the stripes accentuates that. What's the most adorable is the little tie on the back to add to the vintage feel. I'm wearing a size Small.
What's really neat, too, is that this is a brand I've never heard of before. One of my FAVORITE things when buying clothes is to try and do so from brands that aren't mainstream and that aren't in the hands of everyone else. I value originality and standing out by being different. And this bikini makes me do just that.
