Release The Dragonfly

Trying to get a hold on the whole blooming mood all around me, I have alloyed my characteristic dim palette with lots of colors, gathering them all around my eyes. This particular look was heavily inspired by Pat McGrath’s makeup look for Dior Haute Couture by John Galliano Spring/Summer 2011. Those images have been stuck in my head ever since, so I knew I had to give it a try! The only thing I used to achieve this was the one and only Saint & Sinner palette by Kat Von D.

When getting into the outfit, of course I wanted to keep it as close to that feeling as possible. But also got inspired by a particular piece I’m wearing: the wonderful dragonfly jewelry piece by Corvus Cornyx. I’ve always loved dragonflies! These beautiful creatures never fail to form a sense of tranquility within me no matter the circumstances, and so did this particular piece. Iulia, the wonderful soul behind the creation, makes “jewelry for the spiritual journey”, or else little exquisite treasures. Do look into her magical store and read about her wonderful story towards jewelry making.

Frankly my dears, I wish I could dress like this every day. Unfortunately though, the world’s hasty pace makes it too difficult for this kind of attire. And because I’ve been living in this fantasy world for quite some time now, I believe I owe you a modern casual look. *noted*

Have an amazing rest of the week!
