LOOKS
Hey everyone! We are in our last full month of summer, and before we know it, school will be back in session and temperatures will start to drop (at least that's what I'm told. "Summer" bar prep keeps getting extended and they don't call Atlanta "Hotlanta" for nothing). While we still have some hazy summer days left, I wanted to show off some of my favorite picks from Mila Rae Boutique. I discovered this boutique last fall, and I have loved their products ever since! Here are the items that I am absolutely summer lovin'! I linked all of the items in this post, and if you're interested in shopping from Mila Rae, discount code "TheBestPaige20" will get you 20% off your order!
This online boutique is based out of Texas and is constantly bringing in new items year round! Right now, they're starting to add transition pieces as fall looms around the corner. My first order with Mila Rae included a powder blue Bardot top, an olive green cozy cardigan, a blue off-the-shoulder chunky knit sweater, and a merlot fitted sweater with a shoulder cut-out. I LOVE supporting small businesses, but ordering from online boutiques can often be tricky and sometimes lead you right into a scam. Fortunately, that isn't the case with Mila Rae. Each piece fit well, was high-quality, and resulted in tons of compliments whenever I wore them. Since I spent my spring quarantining in Ohio, I was super excited to grab a few pieces for summer!
The first piece I picked was this dress. I like the pattern, and the colors are fun and bright for summer. These off-the-shoulder necklines have been incredibly popular lately as well. I've had issues getting off-the-shoulder tops to stay put in the past, but the elastic in the top of this dress is tight enough that the neckline stays where you want it without being uncomfortable. I love the light material of this dress for summer; it's perfect for hot days! The material also isn't see thorough, so there's no worry about what to wear underneath. I paired this dress with my Rothy's for a more dressed-up look (check out my Rothy's review here), but a cute pair of sandals would also look great for a simple summery outfit! Unfortunately, this color is sold out, but it does also come in black and red designs!
The next piece I bought was this amethyst-colored romper. The sleeves give it a more sophisticated look while the sheer fabric adds a whimsical touch. The body portion of this romper is all lined so everything is covered up, and the sleeves are sheer. This piece definitely runs big, so I would recommend sizing down. I ordered a small and had to take it in a few inches on both sides (fun fact: I can sew and make minor alterations to clothing). Since the romper was big, the elastic on top fit looser, but I actually like the look of it higher on my shoulders. I wore this to a friend's bridal shower and dressed it up with a delicate silver necklace and silver jeweled sandals.
The last item I bought was this green romper. On the website it looks more like a light jade color, but in person it's closer to forest green, which I love because it brings out my green eyes! The color makes it great for transitioning to fall while still being light weight until the temperature drops. I love the fun floral pattern on this romper as well. There's a button at the back of the nape of the neck, a few buttons down the front, and a drawstring tie at the waist. The neckline is a little lower than I would have liked, so I'll probably bring it up a bit so I'm not fussing with it every time I wear this romper. Since the pattern is pretty busy, I think this romper pairs well with a simple sandal in a coordinating or neutral color. This romper also comes in white. Both versions are currently on sale as well!
There are so many cute options to check out from Mila Rae Boutique, and I always love everything I order! The summer collection has a bunch of cute pieces if you're living somewhere where you'll be experiencing the summer heat for a while longer. Mila Rae is also putting out transition pieces for when summer days drift away to summer nights or if your temperatures are about to dip. No matter the season, I definitely recommend checking Mila Rae out! Like I mentioned earlier, you can use discount code "TheBestPaige20" for 20% off of your order! Let me know what you pick!
Make today the best page yet,
Paige
