Kylie Skin - Full Skincare Range Review

As you might know, Kylie Skin is finally available in Europe at Douglas! I have been using Kylie Skin for over a year now so this is the perfect moment to share my thorough thoughts on the Kylie Skincare range! Curious to see if Kylie Skin is worth the money? Then keep on reading.

    Kylie Skin

Kylie Skin is owned by Kylie Jenner, the youngest Kardashian/Jenner sister. Kylie explained:

"Skincare and makeup go hand in hand and Kylie Skin was something I dreamt up soon after Kylie Cosmetics. I’ve been working on this for what feels like a lifetime so I can’t believe it’s finally here! Building my makeup line from the ground up has taught me a lot and I’m so blessed with that knowledge to apply to my brand new company! Birthing a whole new team, manufacturing, fulfillment, etc. separate from my cosmetics line was challenging but here we are! I got the best of the best for you guys! Everything is cruelty-free, vegan, gluten-free, paraben, and sulfate-free and suitable for all skin types. Make sure you follow @kylieskin to stay updated. So much love went into this. It all starts with the skin." - xo, Kylie  💕

    Kylie Skin Products

The first launch of Kylie Skin included a full skincare range. At the time of the launch, I bought the bundle for $125 and paid $14.95 for shipping, so a total of $139,95. This doesn't include the custom charges. It's pretty expensive to get products from the US to Europe so that's one of the reasons I'm so happy to have Kylie Skin available at Douglas.

Kylie Skin is over a year old now and launched more products in the meantime, such as body scrub, body lotion, lip scrub, lip mask, sunscreen, face wipes, and skincare minis. As of right now, these new products aren't available at Douglas (yet). In this review, I'll be focusing on the Kylie Skin skincare range & the products which are available at Douglas.

The skincare products aren't available in a set at Douglas, you have to buy all the products separately. The products you can buy at Douglas are:

    • Foaming Face Wash which contains 149 ml - € 29,99
    • Walnut Face Scrub which contains 85 g - € 27,99
    • Vanilla Milk Toner which contains 236 ml - € 27,99
    • Vitamin C Serum which contains 20 ml - € 34,99
    • Face Moisturizer which contains 52 ml - € 29,99
    • Eye Cream which contains 17 ml - € 24,99

If you buy all the products it'll cost you 175,94.  So if we compare the costs, it seems like Douglas is way more expensive than the actual Kylie Skin website. BUT here in The Netherlands, where I live, I need to pay customs charges when I order products from the US. On top of the $139,95 (which is 123,50), I had to pay another 40 or so. This means that Douglas is around 10 more expensive if you buy the whole skincare set. If you decide to go for just 1 or 2 products, it's probably cheaper to buy at Douglas than the actual Kylie Skin site.

    Kylie Skin Review

The Face Wash is super foamy and you don’t need much to wash your whole face. This is my favorite product of them all! I even repurchased the Face Wash 2 times already. I love how foamy it is and it makes my skin so soft. Sometimes when using a face wash, it can dry out my skin but this one doesn’t. It’s different than all the face washes I've tried before. Moreover, it has a soft scent to it which I think is very nice and not overwhelming.

The Walnut Face Scrub did get the most hate on the internet because people were saying it’s bad for the skin. I was pretty scared to try this so I started with a little bit once a week. I think this is a very gentle scrub and I actually really like it! I've had face scrubs that have been a lot less gentle than this one, so I don't think you should be scared to use this Walnut scrub. I even used the scrub 2 times a week and it gave no irritation at all. It doesn't really have a smell to it, it’s very neutral and not intense at all.  It exfoliates my skin perfectly!

The smell of the Vanilla Milk Toner is amazing and I do really like the consistency. However, I don’t really like this toner. I have normal to combination skin and my cheeks and eye area are a bit sensitive. After using the toner on my cheeks, it felt kinda irritating and drying. Therefore, if you’re someone with sensitive skin, I won’t recommend this toner. After trying the toner only on my oilier spots (my t-zone) I started to like this toner more because it does clean my face and leaves a clean base for the night. Eventually, I think this toner could work for people with oily skin.

The Vitamin C serum feels so nice and hydrating! Afterward, my skin looks so glowy, soft, and hydrated. I've never had a serum before where I saw a change in the appearance of my skin but I did see a difference with this one. My skin looks healthy, glowy, and more even. The Vitamin C serum doesn’t really have a smell and it applies very easily. This is my second favorite product of the whole range!

The Face Moisturizer barely has a smell too it at all. I like it, it’s hydrating and creamy. However, it's not something special and doesn't have spectacular results. It’s just a normal, nothing special but good moisturizer.

The Eye Cream is a must. I love this equally as much as I love the Face Wash BUT what I like so much about this cream is that it started to reduce my dark circles after 2 times of using it already. I’ve tried the product in a period with so much stress and less sleep, but it still made me look like I felt good. My dark circles are truly a lot less visible. This also doesn’t have a smell, is very creamy and easy to apply with the applicator. My eyes are very sensitive and products easily irritate the skin around them, but this Eye Cream makes them hydrated and not irritated at all. I love it!

The products I would 100% recommend are the Face Wash, Vitamin C Serum, and the Eye Cream. I'm positive you'll love them!
