I have used more mascaras than I can count (or remember) over the years, rebuying bottles from Sephora to ensure that I always had a full tube at the ready. For such an important makeup staple, I was never truly satisfied with my mascara routine until this past year. During quarantine I began to watch more videos and do more of my own research on what the best mascara products really are, which is how I came to use L’Oreal Telescopic Mascara.
The price of this mascara can vary depending on where it is purchased, so below I’ve compiled a list of all the different places it is for sale, along with the numerous prices, in order from lowest to highest:
1. Amazon - $8.44
2. Target - $9.39
3. Walmart - $9.43
4. L’Oreal - $10.95
5. Ulta Beauty - $10.99
6. CVS - $12.99
As soon as I first applied the mascara and swiped the wand across my lashes a few times, I could instantly tell that they were given a lengthened appearance. Not only that, but the mascara seemed to separate each lash, ensuring that the formula did not get clumpy and stick my eyelashes together, a common problem I had endured in the past. After a complete application, my lashes appeared longer, fuller, and definitely made my eyes stand out more than mascaras had in the past.
Another great thing about the L’Oreal Telescopic Mascara is that it contains Beeswax Cera Alba, which prevents smudging or smearing. This ingredient also ensures that the product is long-lasting, along with performing as a thickening agent, meaning it gives eyelashes a lush appearance. On top of all this, Beeswax is a nontoxic, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial ingredient, meaning it reduces irritation and prevents infection, along with being safe for wear near your eyes.
Pros vs Cons
The only con of this mascara I want to point out is that I believe the L’Oreal formula can enhance your lashes even more if it is layered with another mascara. Before I apply the Telescopic mascara, I coat my lashes with Benefit Roller Lash Mascara (another tip I took from Gretchen’s video, as you can see in my own demonstration). The only reason I list this as a con is because buying the additional tube of mascara will increase the price of your overall mascara routine. However, I would not consider layering another mascara to be a necessity. Overall, the pros of L’Oreal telescopic drastically outweigh the cons. I have condensed a list of them here:
Bottle lasts a long time
Effectively lengthens and enhances eyelashes
Less effective on it’s own
Overall, I would highly recommend this product to anyone who is looking to try something new in their makeup routine. What eye products do you use in your every day makeup? I've recently been wanting to try out more eyeshadows with this mascara, and really loved Parmi's review of Maybelline Color Strike Eyeshadow Pen. I may have to invest in a color to see how it looks! If you end up trying out this mascara for yourself, let me know what you think!
