10 Productive Habits that'll Change Your Life

Productivity can sound like something hard to achieve. However, this doesn't have to be necessarily true, since there are some habits of productive people that you can adopt and put into practice every day. These will help you not only with productivity, but with the organization also, cause, aren't they kinda family?

Staying organized is so much easier when you're being productive, and staying productive is also easier when you're being organized. There's an infinite relationship between these actions.

Today, I'll share with you 10 habits I've been adding to my morning routine so I have more productive days, and even nights sometimes. With these habits I can get my life together so easily and get so many things done, it sometimes surprises me. So I said, why not sharing what's worked for me?

    10 Habits of Productive People

    Productive people prioritize

Whenever you have anything to do, even the bare minimum, it is recommended to make to-do lists. Making lists will help you be organized and stay focused on what has to be done. However, when we have many things to do, it's a must to prioritize 3 or 4 things.

When prioritizing we focus a lot more on the tasks we must complete. And, it's easier to avoid feeling overwhelmed when we see a large number of tasks on the to-do list.

A tip when writing your lists is to always write down your priorities first, so you convince your brain that you must get that done ASAP.

Set deadlines for your goals and tasks

Let's be honest here, if you don't have a deadline, you'll probably procrastinate all your work. And, even worse, maybe procrastinate your goals too!

In my post about setting goals the right way, I told you guys how important it was to set deadlines. So, as much as we hate deadlines because we might feel "under pressure" we also need them so we get our work done.

    Set routines

Setting routines is a must to be organized and productive. When you set routines for everything, even for studying, you avoid losing time asking yourself what you're doing next.

When creating your routines don't overwhelm yourself thinking you must have a thousand things to be productive. Make a list of your priorities in the morning or night, and use that as your routine.

Remember, less is more if you know what's important.

    Plan ahead

When you plan whatever you're doing, you'll get a better result, it's a fact. Even if it's the slightest thing, planning it with anticipation will give you a peace you can't even imagine. Furthermore, if you suffer from anxiety, it'll help you keep yourself calm.

Planning everything is a must for productivity since it'll avoid the "what should I do next?" stress.

I created a planner! If you're feeling overwhelmed, and have many things to do, get this free planner to organize your life!

    One thing at a time

Do you want to know unproductivity's #1 enemy? Multitasking.

There's nothing more unproductive than trying to do everything at once. At the end of the day, you won't get anything done, and if you do, I don't think it'll be great work.

Always take one task at a time, starting with your hardest ones, and ending with the simplest ones.

    Don't let technology control you

Put your smartphone apart!! OMG Instagram, Twitter, and even games can wait for you!

Having your smartphone next to you will lead you to notice it and take it "for just a bit". However, we know just a bit isn't always like that. We start with a picture on Instagram and finish scrolling all the way down. Sometimes we even end up watching someone's Live!

The same happens with our laptops. We open YouTube "just to watch a video" and end up watching funny dog videos for hours! So, if you like listening to music while getting some things done, use your Spotify!

You can't watch tv while working

Don't go in life trying to convince yourself that you can watch a series while getting something done. That's not true!

You'll get distracted every single time you think something important is happening, which might be almost all the time. Believe me, I've been there!

Just focus on your task. If you'd like some sound, you can play some lo-fi hip-hop in the background. This will help you feel more relaxed and will avoid distractions from song lyrics or the series dialogues.

    Make yourself a priority

I'll never get tired of reminding you how important it is to practice self-care.

Do you think you'll focus if you're feeling stressed or overwhelmed? Well, you won't.

Also, see it this way: if you're fine, happy, and healthy, you'll be productive, motivated, and organized. That's why I always recommend putting yourself first when it comes to getting things done.

    Use the Pomodoro technic

The Pomodoro technic is a classic whenever someone's making a list of habits of productive people. This technic is a must whenever we have to focus on something.

The brain will feel the pressure of getting a task done because the time's almost over. Same reason I gave you for you to use deadlines when doing tasks and setting goals.

    Productive people prioritize sleep

    Sleep your 8 hours!!

    There. I said it.

If you don't sleep enough, you won't get anything done! You'll be too tired you won't even be able to focus on what you're doing.

So, make your sleeping schedule a priority! Sleep enough, and sleep well. You won't regret it.

And that's it! These are 10 habits of productive people that you should copy from today!!

Now, tell me about you. Do you have any habits that help you be productive? Let me know in the comments!
