Body Positive and Loving Yourself

    BEING BEAUTIFUL IN ANY SIZE!

Body positive - a term used in reference to the social media movement that advocates that all human beings should have a positive body image regardless of their appearance.

But did you know that the first signs of the body positive movement occurred in the late 1850s? It was called the Victorian Dress Movement and its objective was to propose a more comfortable way of clothing.

The way I see it, it was basically a call for help! I guess women wanted to finally get rid of the extremely tight, life-sucking corsets of that time. And I don't blame them. I can't even wear tight jeans for more than an hour! Nowadays, instead of having someone tightening our corsets, we have social media.

And let's not mention the picture-perfect bodies that are seen on Instagram that make both women and men feel bad about themselves for not having 'that' body. Let's face it. Social media is self-esteem sucking vampire. And it can get pretty ugly if you let it in. But lucky for us, social media is also the boss of the body positive movement.

Being comfortable in your own skin, loving yourself, and living your life the way you want to, is the secret to being a REAL BABE! Regardless of your body structure, you are beautiful. You are unique. You are a babe

BODY POSITIVE AFFIRMATIONS TO REPEAT EVERY MORNING

A huge part of my life-changing process has been using the power of I AM in affirmations every morning. Reading inspirational quotes and writing them on my planner is also a game-changer for me. This should also be part of the process of loving your body.

Affirmations like "I AM BEAUTIFUL" have the power to better your self-esteem and make you feel good about yourself. Loving ourselves can feel like a turmoil for some people, and that’s ok. It can take you more time than others. But one thing is for sure - it really is possible to love YOU!
