I have been meditating for a bit more than three years now. I started seeing myself as a somewhat experienced meditator. Some friends even turned to me and asking "what this is all about" and "how to do it."
I enrolled in mindfulness courses and trainings. Right now I am even studying it at university! But a few days ago I experienced a breakthrough. I need to chart a new course.
This is not to say that I have been doing it all wrong. I believe that all of my path was necessary, exactly as it was. But realizing my true motivation to meditate makes it necessary to readjust my approach.
