Create your routine in 4 steps

The last video and post thank your comments, was very inspiring for me. Even though creating routines seems a very simple and easy task to do, am I right!?

Recently, I learned that a lot of successful people have a morning routine. I am reading the book by Robin Sharma the 5 am club. By the way, I highly recommend for you put this book on your reading list if you have one. I love how unusual this book is written, like a story that you can learn from. It is not how self-growth or development books are written, usually. At least, not the ones that I have read previously. Did you read this book?

I have four steps of how I create my routines. For this video, I have stopped doing routine for a week. I needed to be reminded how l do it. Sometimes we do it so automatically that we need to stop doing it for a while,  to remind ourselves how we do it. For the purpose that I can share it with others. What amazing creatures we are !!!

The first step is to clear with yourself what kind of routine do you need? If you have watched my last video, you know how I like it. Or. You can watch the video now before you continue reading this post.

By this first question, I mean how long your routine needs to last and, when!? Also quick or slow!?

The second step is to know your goal. What do you want to achieve with this routine!? I want to do the best that I can and better than I did yesterday. I am very self-critical. I always compete with myself. I am hoping that I am not the only one. I am sure there are more people like me.

The third step is the hardest for me. Wondering why? It is a whole new process. Resetting your mind and implementing new habits, and removing the old habits.

Remember, every professional was once an amateur, and every master started as a beginner. Ordinary people can accomplish extraordinary feats, once they've routinized the right habits.

Which habits do you want/need to have in your routine? This step goes hand to hand with the last and final step. By answering yourself, what is your lifestyle!? If you try copying someone else's routine, it won't work for you the same as it does for that person. It will work only in case is right for you too. Maybe, some parts will work but, it would be hard to stick with that routine. I am aware that we all want to have a perfect life. The once as we see on social media nowadays. And that girl trend that's going on the YouTube right now. But have in mind, you are perfect the way you are. I know that is a cliche but, it is the truth. Your imperfections make you perfect and special or unique however you want to call it. Instead, you need to seek for greatnesses of yourself. I am challenging you don't pick up your phone for at least an hour or don't use the internet for an hour starting when up in the morning. Just concentrate on your body, mind, and soul in peace of the morning. It may be more challenging than you think. Are you accepting the challenge? Don't accept anything less than greatness from yourself. Making your masterpiece is hard, and be consistent in your routines is even harder, but you can do it.

I am hoping that you will find this post helpful. These steps are seaming easy from the outside. But, it would make it easier for you to create and stick with your routines.

Remember, this is a process like a marathon, not a sprint! Don't forget to enjoy your life in-between!

Take excellent care of the front end of your day, and the rest of the day will pretty much take care of itself. Own your morning. Elevate your life.

P.S. I am aware that I am not much of a writer but, I appreciate it if you have read it and watched my videos! Love to hear your thoughts and suggestions of few other steps maybe.

This is such an interesting post you have written about creating a routine, Marcela! I am working hard each day to put that routine in place. It's tough I know but not impossible.

And thank you for sharing that book by author Robin Sharma. I am reading that at present, and just love it. I'm not at all a morning person, but more of a night owl. Therefore I have lots to learn about creating morning habits for myself.<3 <3 Glad this reminder came along!!
