October Favorites

Happy Halloween weekend, everyone! If you missed my last post, I shared 27 safe, social distancing Halloween activities you can do at home. I definitely recommend reading it if you’re looking for last-minute things to do for Halloween. Speaking of Halloween, I can’t believe October is already over! More like Oct-over, am I right? Okay, enough of my lame dad jokes. As I do at the end of every month, I share five of my favorite beauty and lifestyle items. Keep scrolling to see my favorites for October 2020!

Shiseido Compact Mirror
First of all, the Shiseido compact mirror was one of my favorites for October. It may seem like a simple item but it holds so much sentimental value for me. To start, my mother gave me that compact mirror when I started wearing makeup at age 13. I keep it in my bag and carry it everywhere I go. A few months ago, I had misplaced my compact mirror and assumed it was lost forever. I was so devastated. Until recently, the compact mirror reappeared when I wasn’t even looking for it. I’m so glad I still have it. I even checked Sephora and it’s no longer available. However, I was able to find a cheaper dupe at Walmart for $9.99!
Super Sparrow Water Bottles
Recently, I was gifted with complimentary water bottles from Super Sparrow. Like other popular brands, Super Sparrow offers a wide range of insulated, stainless steel water bottles. The bottles keep drinks hot for up to 12 hours and cold for up to 24 hours. Best of all, they’re much cheaper than other well-known brands like Hydro Flask or Yeti.

belif The True Cream Aqua Bomb
Next, the belif The True Cream Aqua Bomb was one of my beauty favorites for October. The weather is changing and it’s been affecting my skin. Especially with the Santa Ana winds here in SoCal, my skin has been dry lately. To replenish my skin’s moisture, I have been applying belif’s The True Cream Aqua Bomb at night. I love that the gel-cream is super lightweight and absorbs into my skin quickly. Instantly, my skin feels refreshed and hydrated.
Neutrogena Hydro Boost Whipped Body Balm
Another one of my favorites for October was Neutrogena’s Hydro Boost Whipped Body Balm. It contains hyaluronic acid and helps hydrate dry skin. As I said earlier, the weather change has been affecting my skin. To combat the dryness and flakiness, I apply Neutrogena’s Hydro Boost Whipped Body Balm after I shower and before bed. Immediately, my skin looks and feels softer and suppler. I definitely recommend Neutrogena’s Hydro Boost collection for the wintertime!

Baby Yoda Pillowbuddy
Last but definitely not least, the Baby Yoda Pillowbuddy was one of my favorites for October. My boyfriend and I have been anticipating season 2 of The Mandalorian, which finally released on October 30th. And the timing couldn’t have been more perfect! My boyfriend’s birthday was just a few days before the release of The Mandalorian. So I went to Target to get all things Baby Yoda for him. I randomly found an 18″ tall Baby Yoda Pillowbudy and I had to get it for him. It turned out to be the perfect gift because he absolutely loved it!
