Books To Read During Quarantine | Self-Isolation | Lockdown ♡

Books That Have Been Sitting On My Shelf That Will Never Forgive Me If I Don’t Read Them During Lockdown:

    1) A Wrinkle In Time by Madeleine L’Engle
    2) Flappers and Philosophers by F. Scott Fitzgerald
    3) Under Wild Wood by Colin Meloy  | Illustrated by Carson Ellis
    4) Wild Wood by Colin Meloy | Illustrated by Carson Ellis
    5) A Wild Sheep Chase by Haruki Murakami
    6) The Wind Up Bird Chronicle by Haruki Murakami
    7) Millicent Min, Girl Genius by Lisa Yee

These aren’t listed based on ranking. They were just listed based on the order that I photographed them. And also please forgive me for covering the last names of some of the books. I didn’t want them to flip open so I had to hold them down while snapping the shot. They are listed for your reference at the top though :D If you’d like to see what’s on my digital library on Kindle, please leave a comment below.

I think all of these books have gorgeous covers and selection of colors on them. They are also so nice to touch and definitely fill some of the emptiness that we’ve all been feeling since we have been deprived of tactile connection.

This is also a really great way to give your eyes a break as the beautifully printed pages have no blue light to make your eyes feel weary.

I’m not an insanely fast reader, but I would like to make a dent in all of these books. I just love that feeling once you’re finally into a book and you can’t put it down. Full-on concentration and then when the book ends you just have this glazed look in your eye because you haven’t quite departed from the fictional world you just traveled to.

I have a nook and a mini tea corner in my room near the window that I think would have excited my 12-year-old would so much. So if you can, join me, by turning down the news and take care of yourself by reading a book that you like for maybe 30 minutes or so and relax.

I loved A Wrinkle in Time as a kid! I also love Fitzgerald. I'll definitely have to check out Flappers and Philosophers.
