REVIEWS
Do you struggle with small zits that feel quite painful? Hey ladies, how about that annoying hormonal acne that seems to pop up boldly around your menstrual cycle? Wouldn’t it be nice to find a product that actually shrinks your pimples but not cause extra breakouts?
Few weeks into September, luxurious yet affordable skincare brand Maelove reached out to me and asked if I wanted to try a few of their items on my sensitive skin. As someone who struggled for years finding the best formulas to treat the delicate outer layer on my face, I now make sure to invest in brands that take a top-notch approach in skincare. If you have sensitive skin, you know you can’t put anything from the shelf on your face. Product selection is VERY important!
After investigating their website, I found out Maelove focuses on using highly potent ingredients in an FDA approved lab to create formulas backed by scientific evidence. The company created a luxury skincare collection and most items cost less than 2 large pizzas on a Friday night. Maelove is invested in keeping money in their customers’ wallets and acne off their face. Everything from their brand is developed with sensitive skin in mind, therefore the products are not only affordable but potent yet still gentle and effective.
Here’s How the Maelove Niacinamide Serum Healed My Active Acne
One skin issue somewhat continuous for me is acne. I have those months where my acne doesn’t exist and then those days where I have bright red pimples in the middle of my cheeks. My acne tends to come from my period or eating improperly for too long. Yeah, too many sweets, fast food and fried goodies breaks my face all the way out. It’s all about balance right? Although I breakout occasionally, I’ve learned several ways to treat my sensitive skin. One way is to spot treat certain pimples.
Spot treating active acne is sometimes tricky. I’ve tried several products that were great for drying out my targeted pimples, but they left my face with unpleasant leftovers. While my pimples were gone, the areas on my skin became dry and plastered with new dark spots. Plus those store-bought topical acne-cream medicines tend to leave a white residue and never blend well into the skin, especially melanated tones. With that being said, I was very opened into trying something new for my face. I decided to use the Maelove niacinamide treatment to calm the stubborn sore acne along my jawline.
MAELOVE Nia 10 Calming Serum
GREAT FOR CALMING STUBBORN & PAINFUL ACNE ON SENSITIVE SKIN
Maelove’s Calming Serum is formulated with Niacinamide, Zinc, White Tea extract, Aloe and Mushroom extract. Perfect for sensitive, acne-prone, inflamed and dry skin. Overall, the serum’s intentions are to encourage healthier skin texture, boost moisture and eliminate redness while keeping the skin calm in the process.
While I have my breakouts under control, sometimes I experience STUBBORN & PAINFUL pimples. Most topical acne creams recommend no use on open zits. However, the Nia 10 Calming Serum works excellent on open and active acne! I applied one drop to each pimple and massaged it in for 15 seconds or until the serum dried into my skin. The next morning those pimples were much smaller and way less painful. You can use this niacinamide serum morning and night. I only used serum once at night for two days and saw immediate results.
TIPS FOR BEST RESULTS
- use one drop on the pimple and rub it in until dries BEFORE applying your moisturizer
- when applying your moisturizer, pat it into the skin so you don’t interrupt the serum and affected areas
