How to Use: Use this product in the morning or at night to cleanse your face before the rest of your skin routine. First wet your face with water and then use one pump of this gel cleanser by gently massaging it into your face. Let the product foam up and get all parts of your face before rinsing all the product with water. Gently pat your face dry and follow this product up with the rest of your skin routine.

    Scent and Texture

This product is fragrance free (a great indicator of natural ingredients) and comes in a pump type bottle with a gel texture. When you apply this to a wet face and massage the product into your face, it becomes bubbly with a light foaming formula. The texture feels like a smooth semi thick and non sticky gel at first, and then gives off a light soapy texture when applied to your wet face. I am a big fan of this texture (it is neither sticky nor dense), as it feels very smooth and comfortable to use as a gentle and daily cleanser. I find that the cleanser itself gives off a slight minerally scent, but overall has a very neutral smell.

    Effects after Use

The effects of this product are very subtle but consistent. It serves the purpose of being a gentle cleanser, thus it removes any impurities or debris from my face but it doesn’t give me a dramatic boost in my complexion. I’ve noticed that by using this product every night, my skin feels fresher and also less prone to irritation or break outs.

    How the Ingredients Work

In this part of the review, I will address and break down the uses of the most significant ingredients in this product.

Antioxidants: Antioxidants are used in a variety skincare products and are beneficial in numerous ways. They improve your skin's defense against pollution and environmental pollutants and improves the skin's nourishing and healing capabilities. Antioxidants help in the following major ways: the skin’s anti-pollution defense, firming skin, brighter complexion, soothing skin, and anti wrinkle.

Cocamidopropyl betaine: Cocamidopropyl betaine is a synthetic detergent and surfactant that is used in personal care products, cosmetics [1][2] and cleaning products [3]. It is used to reduce static, condition the skin & hair, increase the foaming action of certain cleansing and cleaning products, and moderate the viscosity of liquids.

    It’s Worth for the Price

I think one of the best aspects of this product is it’s good value. Many reviews also agree that this a very solid and trustworthy daily product that comes at a price not much higher than $10. Since one pump is all you need, this bottle will last you a very long time before you run out. Moreover, if you use this product on the daily as a gentle cleanser, then you will mostly likely agree that it’s price is very worth it compared to it. There are products that have similar purposes that are both a bit cheaper than this one (see the list below), and also products that are much more expensive—ranging from double to triple the price of this one. However, I think that this one is just as sufficient as some of the more expensive ones that I’ve had, and also better than the cheaper ones that I’ve tested.

    Things to look Out For

Be careful not to use this product or test it out first if you have naturally dry skin it could potentially dry out your skin even more and cause breakouts. This product is also not great for travel because of its pump style packaging, which makes it hard to seal and bring around with you. Lastly, do not buy this product if you are looking for any exfoliating properties.
