5 Breakfast Places in Istanbul - Affordable, with a View, Delicious
“I break hearts for breakfast.” I am sure you heard this sentence before. I believe the first meal of the day deserves this importance. A delicious breakfast sounds like a perfect way to start the day.
In Turkey, food culture is very broad and various. One of the most known things about Turkey is its food. For every meal, you can find something typical Turkish to eat.
Today, I will introduce you to 5 breakfast places in Istanbul. The range of the prices is between 9 to 25 Euros for 2 people. If you are planning to visit Istanbul, give them a chance.
1.Küff, Bahariye
Küff Café is located at the heart of Kadıköy, which is also a popular district for its café shops in Istanbul. You can have your breakfast at Küff Café and then have a walk around. This place has friendly workers. In general, the place is crowded, but not impossible to find a place to sit and enjoy. The prices for the portions are worthwhile. They have breakfast menus such as a plate of eggs, special types of cheese, olives, pastry, tomatoes, jam, butter, sucuk (a type of meat) and a potato salad. Breakfast menus include unlimited tea. They also have classical Turkish breakfast meals such as menemen (a Turkish way to cook eggs with pepper and tomato), eggs with sucuk, omelet, toast and pişi (Turkish pastry). They consider vegan people and also serve vegan breakfast. The only negative thing that I can say they have small tables for all these dishes.

Adress: Osmanağa Mahallesi, Ali Suavi Sokak, No: 18/A, Kadıköy/ İstanbul
Average Price: 60 TRY / 2 people
Open: 7 days, 08.00 – 01.00
2.Mangerie, Bebek
Mangerie is a brasserie in an attic with a lovely Bosphorus view. If you want to have a good view while eating breakfast, you can choose this place. It is on the European side of Istanbul, in Bebek. Mangerie is a tiny, popular place so it’s not easy to find a place to sit at the weekend. I suggest you to go on weekdays. Since it is a popular brasserie with a view, the prices are above average. They have all-day breakfast. Their menu has various choices with menemen, pancakes, eggs, benedicts, bruschetta, sandwiches and toasts.

Adress: Cevdet Paşa Caddesi No: 69, Kat: 3 Bebek/ İstanbul
Average Price: 150 TRY / 2 people
Open: 7 days, 08.00 –24.00
3.Mihrabat Korusu, Beykoz
If you want to have your breakfast with a view in between greens, Mihrabat Korusu is a good place for it. You can have your breakfast with a broad sea view, including both bridges of Istanbul. Since this place is a grove, you can also have a walk after your meal. The grove was built in the Ottoman Empire times. They have a fixed breakfast menu with olives, different types of cheese, honey, butter, dried apricots, bagels, menemen or eggs, pastry, fries and unlimited tea. This menu is 75 TL/ per person. If you don’t want a fixed menu, you can also just have an omelet, types of eggs or different types of pastry.

Average Price: 150 TRY / 2 people
Open: 7 days, 08.00 –24.00
4.Brekkie Breakfast Club, Moda
Brekkie is a perfect breakfast place for Croissant lovers. Many people say that they sell the best croissant in Istanbul. They have a friendly team in a warm environment. Since it’s becoming more popular in Istanbul, you may encounter a long line at the entrance. If you have time, it’s worth to wait. If your choice is for traditional Turkish breakfast, Brekkie is not for you. However, you can find croissant sandwiches with many different ingredients. They serve bruschettas, granola bowls, croissant sandwiches, cookies and sweet croissants. If you would like to combine croissants and Turkish breakfast, they also have a “Turkish Brekkie” on their menu.

5.Çeşme Bazlama Kahvaltı, Nişantaşı
Çeşme Bazlama Kahvaltı is popular among tourists and local people. In this place, they will continue to serve until you say you are full. The place is at the heart of the European side of Istanbul, Nişantaşı. I would suggest you to go before 10 in order to find a place without waiting. They have a fixed menu with unlimited food for 75 TL. Within this price, you can eat many different types of homemade jams, olives, egg plants with cheese, cheese, cucumber, honey, butter, dried fruits, menemen, different kinds of pastry and unlimited tea. If you want to feel like in Anatolia, Çeşme Bazlama Kahvaltı is the right place.
