Keto Protein Frosting Recipe
Did that title catch your attention? I’m glad it did! I’ve been wanting to make a frosting recipe for a while now but I’ve been waiting for a way to make it unique, truly my own, ya know?
As always, the recipe is first and the story will follow:
- 8oz Cream Cheese, softened
- 1 1/2 Cup Heavy Whipping Cream
- 1/2 Cup Swerve Confectioners
- 1/4 Cup Protein Milkshake's Protein Powder
- 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- Pink Food Coloring (optional)
Instructions- Using an electric mixer, whip the Cream Cheese until fluffy.
- Add in the Swerve, Protein Powder, and Vanilla Extract and whip to combine.
- Turn mixer to medium and slowly add in the Heavy Whipping Cream, 1/2 cup at a time.
- Once the Heavy Whipping Cream is fully combined, add food coloring and whip on high until you've reached a frosting-like texture.
Notes
The frosting can last in the fridge for up to two weeks and in the freezer for as long as needed. This recipe makes enough frosting for 12 cupcakes.
A few weeks ago, I collaborated with Protein Milkshake and they sent me a sample of their Cupcake Batter Protein Powder. I was going to use the protein powder to make Keto cookie bars but when I was making the cookie bars, I forgot to add in the protein powder! 🙈
I decided to create a frosting recipe to use the protein powder and give the cookie bars a pop of color. The frosting tasted amazing and I highly recommend trying Protein Milkshake’s Cupcake Batter protein powder.
I hope y’all enjoy this recipe! Stay tuned for a new recipe coming next week!
