After each waxing, looking at the itchy, red bumps on my skin the first thing that comes in my mind is to rub Aloe Vera gel. It soothes and gives relief from the inflammation immediately. So, let's talk about this magical, cosmetic plant and its benefits in everyday skincare.
Aloe Vera, the thorny triangular green cactus looking plant, is not just a mere plant. It is a miracle of nature. Because of its medicinal and beauty properties, this is called "The Plant of Immortality." That's the reason why it is now widely used by the healthcare industries to the beauty brands in their products. But what is it that makes the plant so distinguishable and adorable?

HOW TO USE ON SKIN:
You can use either raw Aloe Vera gel, collecting from the plant itself or any gel based beauty product. It can be suitable for every skin type. One way to use it directly on the skin, or you can make DIY packs with some special ingredients from your kitchen.
1. PACK FOR DRY SKIN:
Mix some Aloe Vera gel with half teaspoon of honey, one teaspoon of milk cream (you can use full cream milk), few drops of glycerin and rose water.Mix well to make a thick paste, apply it all over your face and neck, leave for at least 15 minutes and rinse off with warm water. You can apply the pack all over your body. Then the amount of the ingredients will have to be increased.
The pack is useful for dry skin throughout the year and for normal and combination skin during winter. It will give you hydrated, refreshed and glowing skin.
2. PACK FOR OILY AND COMBINATION SKIN:
Mix the gel with turmeric powder, 2 drops of tea-tree oil, 1 teaspoon of honey. Blend well to make a thick paste, apply on face and neck and leave it for at least 15 minutes. Rinse off with lukewarm water. You can use it on the whole body also. Then the quantity will be increased, but ensure that tea-tree oil will be only 5/6 drops. The amount of tea-tree oil, I have written here, stick to that.
The pack will treat acne, reduce oiliness, diminishes blemishes, tans, sunburns, giving you a matte and clear look. Regular use of this pack will control the oil-production in your skin.
3. ALOE VERA SCRUB:
Mix Aloe Vera gel, Oats and Lemon juice. Grind them together. Apply all over face and body before bath. Massage for two minutes with very soft strokes and wash off. Use it once a week. It is a great body polisher.
After using for one month regularly, you can feel remarkable change on your skin. It will give you a tan free, soft and smooth skin. The scrub is suitable for all skin types.
All the above packs and scrub have been used by me on my skin only. I have seen the results and then only have shared with you. Do try them.
If you try these DIY packs, please share your experiences here. For any queries, feel free to ask me here in the comment section. If you have used this magical ingredient in any other ways, please let us know. We'll be happy to hear.
