Monthly Update September

Leaves are falling, the days are getting shorter and the temperature has a capricious attitude.
Besides Autumn kicking in, my study started again. 6 months of graduating, between blowing beamers, badly produced coffee and electronic cables of all kind.
I’m going to research robotic faces; their looks and feels and how they correspond towards public.
To those who are still with me: my goal is to make future robotic faces a bit more comfortable to correspond with. I have no idea if that should by human-like faces or cartoonish faces with human aspects.

The holidays are over, no more traveling for a while. That’s sad because I discovered my love for filming. To capture small and beautiful glimpses in everyday life. It gives me more freedom and feeling than a static picture. And I’m definitely going to film more.

I’ve also had my birthday somewhat secretly. I don’t like getting older. It feels as if I should be wiser, more serious. Like I can’t have silly dreams and ambitions anymore. That’s ridiculous of course, you’re the master of your own feelings, but I can’t shake off this mindset.

Eveoaks had its first birthday. I remember how insecure I was about writing for my blog. Pictures okay! But words? Words can hunt you, opinions can be ripped apart and throw back at you with major edited parts. The internet is a cruel place so why should I feed myself to possible lions?
And yet, I enjoy writing and the discussions I’m getting. Writing makes you reflect about your own opinion. To be critical and concrete, to admit aspects you haven’t took in consideration. To learn more.

Eveoaks has also grown into fashion blog. That’s somewhat funny because I never saw myself as a fashionable girl. I was more occupied giving resistance towards teenage society. I want to continue and keep growing with my blog. I’m getting a lot of satisfaction from it and it turned into my biggest hobby. I couldn’t have done this without the help of my boyfriend Joris and my good friends Jonne, Rico, Karlijn, Ruben and Melanie. Thanks for being my photographer, my spelling checker and my tower in strength.
