Saturday morning thoughts

    Saturday morning thoughts, as it’s too wet and muddy to do the park run, and the one weekend I want to go surf it’s cold and raining. (Not complaining though, Cape Town needs it) I sometimes like to sit and contemplate life over a cup of coffee. 

    My current goals, fitness and aesthetic goals to be precise...

    I made a list a while ago of my March goals, and on there were get leaner (visible abs), leaner legs (less cellulite on the front of my legs) and to clear my skin. 

    But I also had on there, run more as a bit of preparation for the @muddyprincess_saEvent we are doing in May, surf once a week as practice for Mozambique in July and do more yoga/get more flexible. (I neglected that in feb) 

    So what I’m trying to tell you is, aesthetic goals are important, but running your pb, getting over all more fit so you can actually enjoy surfing and not just dying in the waves and taking care of your body in a recovery type of way is just as important!! If I surf and run more, my stomach and legs will get leaner anyway? Get it? 

    Ability over aesthetics. ✨✨✨ALWAYS!!!✨✨✨✨

    PS: unbelievably personal post going up on my blog Sunday night, you guys know I share everything but I don’t think I ever been so raw about my body image/mental health struggles before. And PPS: its a loooong one.
