Fire Walk With Me

Having been lost in woodland mysteries for eighteen episodes, I am in a Twin Peaks state of mind. From glasses to shoes, nothing remains unnoticed in the world of Twin Peaks fashion. Poor me is left helpless to its influence! Thus, pour a cup of fine coffee, treat yourself to a piece of cherry pie and let fire walk with you!

In the 90’s, audiences were paraded with a plethora of characters whose fashion choices were as peculiar as their personalities. Today, Twin Peaks does no different! Costume designer Nancy Steiner did a great job continuing their legacy, leaving me submerged in their stories.

In case you didn’t figure, I am a huge fan of Twin Peaks! To me it’s definitely more than just a TV series. It’s a parallel universe I like to visit from time to time. I blame it for many of my styling choices today and this look was born from my never ending love for Twin Peaks fashion!

We went to snap these pictures on a bridge that’s just above the railroad. It reminds me so much of Ronette Pulaski’s appearance in the pilot episode that I wanted no other location! For my outfit I chose an oversized turtle neck (similar here) and a pleated second hand pair of culottes (similar here) that I love! Of course my main inspiration is Audrey Horne! I fell in love the first time I saw her trade the saddle shoes for a pair of fiery red heels. Isn’t it too dreamy?
