LOOKS
Growing up, most of us spend the majority of the time trying to blend in … until we reach the point when we realize we need to stand out to be true to ourselves. And it sometimes takes a lot of courage. But Is not it liberating to just be who we are?
.
.
.
And isn't style a big part of our personal evolution?
.
.
.
And yet many women struggle to find their personal style? Why?
YOU are being YOU but still, you somehow can't get it right (with your style) ... does that mean there is something wrong with YOU being YOU?
Or why is it that you don't feel good wearing the clothes you own? Why is it difficult to shop for clothes that would make you feel confident and look stunning? For yourself, not to please somebody else's taste. And the thoughts keep coming ...
Stop here!
Reflect on who you are, what is important to you, how you want to be perceived, and what you expect from the style.
And if you need a little push I am always here to chat!
Or, you can also follow me for more styling advice on Instagram.
What is your biggest challenge when it comes to style? Curious to read the comments.
Love, Zany

Julia M :
Zany is back! My biggest challenge is my often-changing style. One season I feel super minimalist, the other - I buy green sunnies, purple pants, and a pink sweater. Lol. Any advice?
-
Zany P :
indeed, I am back!
I am not surprised that the style changes, we do too, right? But when the style becomes too volatile, it can create a little bit of confusion, I can imagine.
Does the style really change? Or is it only "a fraction" of it, EG color preferences? Or perhaps, it might be just your craving for some newness?
Either way, I believe I do have some advice. Something to start with that could bring more clarity in your style as such.
Here it comes:
Try to engage with your wardrobe. Identify clothes that you rely on aka you wear them regularly, you feel yourself & confident (or anything that you expect from your style) when you have them on and usually you can also style them pretty effortlessly (as you do it often). Those are the basis of your style, the core of your style.
And once you have this foundation, you can keep focusing on the other pieces and see how they fit into it all. How do you feel about them, in them? Do they reflect your personality, your values, who you are? Can you mix and match them with the basis easily? Or do they just fall into the category "oh, I forgot I have this"?
So basically through this closet detox, you can understand where you are now and remind yourself what you want to communicate with your style ... and most importantly understand WHY behind all your choices.
Let me know if this helps :)

Incredible food for thought! Thank you very much. I've written down your suggestions and will try to put them into practice the next time I'm deciding what to wear! Make an effort to interact with your clothing. Identify the items that you rely on, that you wear on a daily basis, that makes you feel good about yourself and confident, or that you expect from your style. When you have them on, you can usually style them with relative ease. That is the foundation, the core, of your personal style.
