If September gets you all excited about pumpkin spice latte and sweaters, just as it does to me, I am getting a feeling that you are also searching the internet for all of those items that are a must in everyone’s life during fall. Furthermore, there must be around trillions of articles out there on what you should buy, throw or keep during this time, so I will try to have this list a little bit different than what you would think. So let’s get started.
1st item: a reusable mug
Yes, it’s pumpkin spice latte time, if you are into that or regular latte or hot tea time. And all of those usually come in cups that will be thrown away once you empty it. So for this fall chose to use a reusable mug, let’s face it, most of them are even prettier than the plastic ones and will look perfect on social media.
2nd item: vitamins for your immunity
If there is something that is not and will never be trendy is herpes or a cold, so during the fall months, you should look out for your body and your immunity. I am not saying to go to the doctor or the pharmacy, there are plenty of ways you can boost your immunity using the food you eat and as a last resort go for the vitamin pills.
Fall can also be a period where depression and anxiety might have a peek, so make sure it’s not because of low magnesium, vitamin D, or zinc levels.
3rd item: freshly colored and cut hair
It is well known that during the summer the hair has a lot to suffer and most of the time the color will fade and look worn out. The ends might show signs of splitting and the overall look might be messy. So start with refreshing your color (if you are normally coloring your hair) and cutting the split ends for a better look. Let’s face it, you will feel so much better as you walk out of the hairdresser salon and will be ready to rock this fall.
4th item: a couple of classic books
The best time to read a classic is fall, I don’t know if that’s just me, but I do think that each fall you should go buy/borrow a couple of the classic books that you have been meaning to read but never did. The complex the better. Taking advantage of the warm weather while seeing the colors turn to brown in the park is best while reading a good book.
5th item(s): Audrey Hepburn classic style
Saved the tips and tricks on what are the best items to have in your closet for last. If you are looking for a way to create a fall look or to add some pieces to your own wardrobe I suggest you check out any Audrey Hepburn inspired looks. If fall was a person, for me it would be her. So just type her name in Pinterest and you will immediately find the best classic pieces that you should consider adding or using if those are already in your closet.
Fall has so many meanings for each and every one of us and we should be enjoying the festival of colors that nature will reveal to us. For me September always meant returning to school, starting a new chapter, or investing more time in my well-being. Switching to warmer clothes and getting a more put-together style get me excited as soon as the weather changes, and even in this crazy year when most of us are still working from home, I am still looking forward to the upcoming months.
